Take a listen to this song. It is from bornagainamerican.org
I thought it was worth the post in my little part of america.
I love my freedoms and I cherish our land. This country will be ours again.

Power of Prayer Continued
Prayer is so powerful and I ask that you fold your hands
once again for Abigail and her parents.
Ask for God's healing hands upon this sweet child as she soon undergoes major surgery
and is admitted into the hospital today for pre surgery testing.

She seems nervous
OK. I admit it. I have used the pill. But I don't think the government should use it as their platform to stimulate the economy....nor do I believe it would help....it seems to me she is nervous...as she tries to defend this thought.

Random Picture Contest
***** Opps! apparently I am tired because it was suppose to be a picture from January...the 8th picture in January....so here it is
but I am still leaving the other one up because it made my heart smile.*****
So as I sit contently on a Sunday night browsing bloggy world I notice that Brittany over at 4 Little Men and Girly Twins is having a Random Picture Contest. I decide to play and well this is what was selected randomly through all of my pictures.
Oh takes me back to the day....the day after my wedding at our open house(March 30th,2003). For all you readers of It's a Corny Life....Stacie is in this picture attempting to catch the tiny bouquet I was tossing for my twin nieces sake. Thanks Stacie for playing along all those years ago and for being my maid of honor & my BFF.

TV Love?
I am so excited for tonight. "Why?" you ask?
FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS is back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have had a love hate relationship with NBC for years now.
First they had me fall in love with the show AMERICAN DREAMS then they did this.....cancelled!
Then FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS came along and it was love. Love me some Tim Riggins and Panters!!! Oh the drama! Then they did it to me again....cancelled.
I also fell in love with LIPSTICK JUNGLE and well last Friday was the end of that show too.
But a few weeks back I saw an AD an AD for FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS!
I almost couldn't believe my eyes. I almost feel over. Then I shouted, I jumped up and down. Honestly, I wished I had DVR'd it so I could watch it again and again!
Tonight I will have a fire rekindled. My love for NBC, my remote & recliner will cross my path again. I'll let you know how long this affair will last.

God was present today in my home.
****this is a follow up to yesterday's post and a question about "how?" Well we thought we had the crib on lowest setting....apparently we were wrong. So he probably used the bumpers as a stepping stone and one side of his bed is made to be lower than the back....so flip he went right over.****
God was present in our house today.
I had given Travis a bath before his 9am nap then got him dressed and put him in his bed. He was ready to sleep and curled up with his blankie went down like a dream.
Then I headed off to put Campbell in the tub. We bathe and laugh and splash around. Time to get out and dry off. Time to get dressed and head downstairs for some one on one time while brother sleeps. So we get dried off and half way dressed. I then open the closet to get her sweater. I hear her laugh and the SLAM goes the door to brothers room. You see she has realized that it is fun to open and shut doors. She also knows that this DRIVES mommy crazy!
So I quickly get her back in her room and scold her for opening brothers door and remind her that he is trying to sleep. She signs and says she is "sorry" mommy. In the meantime I hear brother cry out a little bit. Just as I shut her closet door I hear the door open and shut again and then him crying....he's been awoken and know has to work himself back to sleep. I hustle her down stairs. Telling her "how upset mommy is." She tells me "brother sleeping." I say "no, not now because you opened and slammed his door." She says "sorry brother."
So I can hear him over the monitor fussing a bit but nothing I think is worth going upstairs for. It's the usual "You woke me up, now I am pissed off" cry. As I put on her sweater and shoes he seems to calm down and I hear nothing. I think to myself "aah, he sleeps." I walk out of the play room into the kitchen and hear the hugest boom I have ever heard. I instantly think "that didn't sound good." Thinking something fell in the office but then my gut tells me "this isn't good!" In the span of seconds I hear a cry, it seems as if I fly up the stairs and fling his door open. "Oh my God!" Travis is on the floor...he's fallen out of his crib. He's crying, sitting up on his bottom but seems disoriented. I scoop him up and as if he doesn't know me he bucks away from me. Screaming at this point, I start talking to him and he seems to find comfort and calms down. My husband encourages me to put him down on the floor to see if he's OK. Travis instantly starts to crawl and laugh. Doesn't seems scared or hurt or disoriented anymore. God is good. I just know that God helped him fall in such a way that he was not hurt.
I didn't put him back to bed, I was afraid he might have a concussion. I take him downstairs and he is laughing and trying to jump out of my arms to play on the floor. I place him in the high chair while I call the doctor's office. We ironically were going in for our one year check up be it one month and a few days behind schedule...new insurance, waiting for cards. The nurse calls me back and asks me a few questions. She tells me to come in at the scheduled time and not to worry. I thank God for that as her words make me feel better.
We go in for the visit and my doctor says...this thing happens, we see it all the time. Looks like he is fine. You must have had an angel in his room. "Angel" I think to myself maybe but I think it was God.
I felt guilt ridden all day. Most of you mommy's probably know the feeling.
So poor little guy not only did he have to get 4 shots today, he got his first experience at free falling or rather being a boy...my little daredevil boy. Let's hope that he's much older before he falls hard like that again. Let's hope he never falls again.
By the way when I got home....the crib was set to the lowest setting possible, clean sheets and bumpers in place. Thanks daddy.
Thanks God for being present in my home today.

Something new to read under my LOCKER ROOM side bar
What a gift children are...we all know that...even on the worst of days with tantrums and spilt milk and runny noses and the like. We are truly blessed when we become parents. For some it comes easy. For others not so much. Some will opt to adopt immediately. Some my let God help those He in trusted with medical knowledge to help them in their goal of parenthood. Others turn to someone...someone who can help, someone who is carrying the precious gift of a child for them...that someone is a surrogate. What a wonderful way to help another couple achieve their dream of having a baby. I feel blessed to know such a woman who is giving of herself and her womb to help a couple have a baby of their very own.
If you would like to follow along click here or go to my side bar under LOCKER ROOM to find this amazing journey Jennifer over at A Surrogate's Diary is about to take.
Good Luck Jennifer and blessings to all involved. You have my constant prayers.

First I must apologize for the poor video quality but the lights were dim for bed time. But I hope the laughter makes up for it.

New Recruits
So the kids got these great little flight jackets from Nana and Papa for Christmas. I think it was more from Papa than Nana but she liked them a lot too.
You see my dad is a military man. A to the core Army Man. So that makes me an Army Brat.
I really liked being an Army Brat and for a while thought I would be a helicopter pilot just like my daddy...but my dreams were cut short when...well when...I was told I was "too short" from the Army recruiter. I was bummed at first but I still landed in the sky...I became a flight attendant...yes there was a whole other "me" before becoming a mommy.
When they opened up these jackets I was so excited. They really seemed to like them too. The patches made them especially appealing. We needed a cold day to come along to give them a good wearing...so we waited and waited...finally today. Today it was cold. A high at our home of 41 degrees so it was time to wear the jackets...to take flight and have some fun....some new recruit fun.
